Music Changing Lives Scholarships

The Lone Star Wind Orchestra (LSWO) is committed to giving back to the communities we serve through numerous outreach initiatives and continues the tradition of awarding annual educational scholarships.  The LSWO is an ardent advocate of life-long musical involvement and its benefits, and believes music can change ones' life. To date, the  Lone Star Wind Orchestra has provided scholarships totaling $10,000.

The Music Changing Lives Scholarships were established by the Lone Star Wind Orchestra to provide support for outstanding graduating high school students who plan to pursue a secondary education.

The Alice and Henry Reeves Memorial Scholarship was established by the Lone Star Wind Orchestra to provide support for an outstanding graduating high school student.  Preference is given to those who are the first in their family to attend college.  Alice and Henry Reeves' passion and dedication to music is honored through this annual educational scholarship which benefits area youth. Their pioneering spirit, steadfast determination and their love of music provided inspiration to many and lives on through generations.
